Gulf Shores

I figured since we are returning to Alabama this weekend what more appropriate than to post on our vacation from Alabama, right?  Like always it was a GREAT trip but went by wayyy to fast.  Its a lot of relaxing, lounging in the pool, eating lots of good food, naps you know, the good stuff.  The condo we rented for the second year in a row is simply AMAZING (maybe I'll post pics of the room, its one post in itself.) I failed miserably and didn't take a lot of pictures.  These are some of the ones I did manage to get.. If you have never been to Gulf Shores-- GO, it is simply AMAZING. My summer is not complete until I have had a week at this place. Its the most relaxing and care-free week of my life and i L-O-V-E every second of it. I do have a funny story to share about Michael the first day we arrived, I will save that for another time

The last wedding (for this year at least) was a friend of mine, Ashley & Troy... They had been dating foreverrr! They are seriously so cute, I have SO many great memories with both of them ahh to be in high school again... We had so much fun at the reception, but I'm thinking that we should of slowed down on the margaritas at Jess's before we went to the reception.. haha our table was slightly intoxicated! Oh well thats what wedding receptions are for right?  I will leave you with some pictures from Ash and Troy's special night (I say night because I didn't take any pictures of the ceremony) Oops!!

Cabo Wedding

So here is the Cabo wedding Michael was in, it was amazing!!! It really makes me sad that we weren't able to go through with our beach wedding we had planned (oil spill ruined it). There is no better background for pictures than the beach.  It was a great night minus the photographer loosing the brides ring in the sand, they found it though after searching for a half hour or so... I felt so bad for Jes (the bride).  But all was well afterwards.. I got pretty tipsy on martini's-- whoa are those things strong! ha  Anyways, I will leave you with some of the pics from that day/night...

Missing Someone

This is only the 2nd time I have seen her in this uniform!!

Call me crazy or whatever you wish, but sometimes I miss her so much it makes me cry!! :(   It is so hard to have someone soooo far away, I mean Key West isn't a jump in the car kinda drive... Hopefully that location will be changing soon though... Fingers being crossed and prayers being said!! :)  Christmas can't get here soon enough!  I promise I will finish posting Cabo pics this week!! Have a fabulous Monday (ha- If thats possible, what mondays are fabulous???)

Nothing Exciting

I'm too tired to blog/ post more pictures of Cabo.  I don't know if its this cooler weather or what but I am beat tonight or maybe it's just because its the end of the week and my body is telling me its ready for the weekend NOW! :) Have a fabulous weekend, I will leave you with these wonderful picture of Gulf Shores, a place that is always on my mind!!

Both of these were taken at night, sorry there blurry but the moon was absolutely amazing there the whole time we were there!! Sad to know that next weekend we'll only be 3 hours away from the beach but were not going there!! :(

Cabo Wabo

The next wedding was a wedding/vacation/honeymoon all in one it was in CABO!! This was the first time I had ever been out of the country, I know lame right?  But in my mind there is no need to go anywhere else but Gulf Shores its the greatest beach ever!! Anyways back to Cabo... We left on a Weds. and headed to Indy where we stayed over night so we could catch our flight bright and early Thursday morning.  We got to the airport only to find out that our flight had been cancelled because the plane didn't get in from Atlanta the night before due to weather.  At this point I started flipping out (I have NO patience, NONE).. They said our plane had been rescheduled for Friday morning, umm No lady not gonna work we've already paid for a night in Cabo- not cheap!  So as I'm sitting there mumbling every other cuss word Michaels telling me to calm down and keep my mouth shut- haha I felt like he was my dad! The lady at Delta worked wonders and was able to get us out on an 8 AM flight on American, I don't know if workers are even suppose to do that (put you on another airline) but I didn't care I just wanted to get on the damn plane! Once we got to Cabo after a lay-over in Dallas we then waited at the Cabo airport for the stupid shuttle to take us to our resort, I was so over it by this point!! We finally got to the resort at 5 pm Pacific time and left at 5 am Atlantic time... Yeah long day... We finally made it and had these awesome views to enjoy....

The views were Amazing, its absolutely gorgeous there!! We were suppose to go out on a glass bottom boat one of the days but someone drank to much the night before and couldn't get on the boat (and it wasn't me)!! A friend from Michael's apprenticeship class got married down there and it was gorgeous!! The wedding post from Cabo will be next, for now I will leave you with this photo to show you what you have to look forward too, this was after an afternoon of drinking and oh maybe 3 or 4 bob marley shots.....

Weddings Part 1

Michael and I were kept pretty busy with weddings this late spring/ summer, thats okay though because I LOVE weddings (especially the receptions, but who doesn't?).  I was in one, Michael was in one and then we attended one.  The first wedding was one of my best friends, Jessica, she got married in May I had so much fun and loved being apart of her special day and all the fun things you do for the bride-to-be!  Here are some pics from her wedding:

The wedding was amazing and so was the rehearsal dinner, except I ate soooo much at rehearsal I was worried I wouldn't fit into my dress! HA!  After the rehearsal all the bridesmaids stayed at Jess's.. OMGoodness, I have not laughed/ nor had that much fun in a LONG time!! I felt like I was 10 again at a slumber party, we were all giggling and telling stories, stories that won't be repeated on here but you would of died too listening to some of them!!!  The next morning it was up bright and early to start hair, makeup and my favorite the fake eyelashes they were ammmmazing!!!  It was a great wedding and she was a beautiful bride!!  Can't wait to spend many more years with the Kilgus's!! I will post more about the other weddings in the next few days!!

Beginner...

Hey everyone I hope you all follow along on our journey of being a "newly married couple."  I will warn you now Michael (the husband) and I do not lead very exciting lives.  Our Saturdays for the fall usually consist of college football (Michael, I only care about the Bama games) and shopping (me).  I'm going to try to blog as frequently as possible however I am still adjusting to my new job/ schedule that I have now which means less time on here for more time to keep up with the wifely duties! ha-- I decided to start a blog for my out-of-town relatives/family.  I have a sister who is in the USCG and an Aunt who lives in Florida and family in Alabama, so this is their way to see what we are up too.... Especially you Jo!! :) I  also think it will be neat to look back on things that have taken place in our life.  Check back later this week I'm going to try to post Cabo pics!!
